Welcome Rally Cap Families!
Hello everyone!
My name is Cara Breton, and I’m excited to be the Rally Cap Division Head this season. This will be my first year in this role, and I’m really looking forward to meeting our families and kicking off another great year of baseball.
My children have been part of Swift Current Minor Baseball for many years, and I’m thrilled to help support a program that focuses on fun, fundamentals, and helping kids fall in love with the game. Rally Cap is all about building confidence, learning skills, and enjoying time on the field — and I can’t wait to see that in action this season.
Rally Cap Details
Game Nights: Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays
Location: City Recreation Complex ball diamonds (east of Highway #4, near Patterson Grain)
Diamonds Used: Fields 7-10 (the four diamonds at the bottom of the complex)
Season Start: Targeting the first week of May, pending city approval for field
access
Volunteers Needed
Rally Cap relies heavily on parent involvement, and we’re currently looking for:
Head Coaches
Assistant Coaches
On-field and dugout helpers
Last season we had 8 teams, so we’ll need a head coach and assistant coach for each team. No experience is necessary — just a willingness to help and encourage the kids.
A Safe Spaces Certificate or RCMP vulnerable sector check is required to assist on the field. We’ll provide an SCMBA letter to complete the RCMP vulnerable sector check.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Here’s to an exciting season of learning, teamwork, and fun on the diamond!
Thanks,
Cara Breton
The Rally Cap program is an entry level program designed to introduce children to the game of baseball, keeping them active and engaged, while learning the skills of the game in a fun, safe and informative atmosphere.
Rally Cap, while designed for the kids, is also a tremendous teaching tool for coaches just entering the game. A complete set of practice plans, along with drills and skill development ideas are built into this program.
